Go-Van is proud to be associated with Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du Lac Saint-Jean, an excellent destination for outdoor and nature enthusiasts. Situated on the banks of the Mistassini River, this island site offers hiking trails close to a mini hydroelectric power station.

Amenities

Vanlife in the Parc régional des Grandes-Rivières du lac Saint-Jean means exploring northern Lac-Saint-Jean in complete freedom! Eight sites are available in the L’Énergie sector of the regional park, complete with dry toilets and a community fire pit. Located on the banks of the Mistassini River, this island site is ideal for hiking near a mini hydroelectric power station. An interpretive trail explains how the Innu used the river and how a run-of-river power station works.

Cancellation policy

It is possible to cancel your stay up to 24 hours before the start of your reservation and obtain a full refund by writing an e-mail to host@go-van.com with your reservation number.

Health measure

Sanitary regulations issued by public health authorities have been put in place and are constantly being adjusted. However, it is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure that his or her stay or visit complies with the public health regulations in force in the region from which he or she comes.

What are the dimensions of each site?

Approximately 30 feet x 30 feet.

What is the maximum accepted van length?

25 feet and under.

How many vans can be on one site?

1 van per site, maximum. You must reserve a space for each van.

Are tents allowed?

No they are not, only vans accepted.

How many nights are we allowed to book?

Max of 3 nights.

What time can we set up and what time do we have to leave?

Arrival from 1:00 pm and departure the next day at noon.

Do we have a site number?

No.

Where do we go when we get there?

You can head straight for the Go-Van area

Are there amenities on site?

No.

Do we have access to showers and/or toilets?

No showers, one chemical toilet.

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, they are allowed on a leash only. Thank you for always picking up after your pets.

Can we move around the site whenever we want?

Yes.

Can we do a campfire? And buy wood on site?

Yes, a communal fireplace is available. Unfortunately, there is no wood for sale on site.

Is wifi available?

No.

Is there a dumping station available?

No.

Are generators accepted?

No, generators are not allowed in Go-Van sites.

What sanitary measures are in place?

The sanitary rules issued by the public health authorities have been implemented on our site and are constantly being adjusted. However, it is the visitor’s responsibility to ensure that his or her stay or visit complies with the public health regulations in force in the region from which he or she comes.

Leave no trace - How does it work?

When you leave, please leave the site as clean, if not cleaner, than when you arrived. NO garbage in nature!
